Sessions

We offer five session types for children aged from 3 months up to 5 years:

• Mini Days (8:45am - 4:00pm) - Available from the 1st of September 2025.
• Core Days (8:00am - 4:15pm)
• Standard Days (8:30am - 5:00pm)
• Full Days (7:45am - 5:45pm)
• Extended Days (7:45am - 6:00pm)

We have a minimum attendance requirement of two days per week.

Though we do not offer Term Time only attendance, we are able to offer a Summer Sabbatical (6 week break during the Summer) for a small holding fee.

Funding

We are registered with the Government to provide places funded by Free Early Education Entitlement, including the working family entitlement for children aged nine months and over, Assessment Based Funding for ages two and above, Universal 15 Hours Funding, and Extended 30 Hours Funding. 

For eligible children, we offer Early Years Funded hours against Full Day, Standard Day, Core Day and Mini Day Sessions. For Extended Day Sessions, Early Years funding will apply to the 10-hour Full Day element but not the 15-minute add-on from 5:45pm to 6:00pm which is chargeable at £3.25 per day.

We offer Early Years funded sessions to eligible children on Mondays to Fridays, subject to availability.

Although Funding is provided on a termly basis, we stretch this over a full year, enabling us to generally offer the following attendance options:

• Three Mini Days year round for 30 hours funding.
• Two Core Days year round for 23 hours funding
• Two Standard Days year round for 24 hours funding
• Two Full Days year round for 30 hours funding

Note that actual Funding hours required will be calculated individually based on start date and attendance pattern.

Please note that meals and consumable items are not covered by Early Years Funding. Consumable items include, but are not limited to, provision of nappies & wipes, sun cream, Calpol, aprons, toothbrushes & toothpaste and rain suits.

From 1^st September 2025, where a child’s attendance is covered by Early Years Funding, Blue Grass Purple Cow Nursery will charge for meals and snacks at £14.00 per day for all sessions. However, consumable items will be provided free of charge. The provision and charging for meals and consumable items is optional but please note that our food policy does not permit ANY food to be brought into Nursery.
